We received notification that our students will most likely receive another round of Pandemic EBT for the June, July, & August 2022. The notice received stated that payments are pending U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) approval. The notice also stated that the benefit would be $391 per eligible student. So, don't throw away those cards.

Great day at the Springfield HS XC Invite today as the Trojan's and Lady Trojan's continue to race some great competition with classes 1A/2A/3A all represented at today's meet!
Highlights on the day included Jaxon Dalby and Nathaniel Marlow both receiving medals with very good 18th and 20th place finishes that continues there bid for one of the best 1-2 punches in the state! Axtyn Sherlock also had a huge PR today with a time of 22:39! Savanna Hulbert came in first for the ladies with another race under 25 mins to continue dropping her time! Great races today Trojans and Lady Trojans!

We had a great turn out for Robotics Club this evening. 22 students explored using Scratch and free building/programming with the Lego Mindstorm EV3 kits. Our next meeting is Wednesday, Sept 28th from 5:30-7:30.

This weekend in BUSD Sports the High School Girls Volleyball team hosts the first ever Webber Smackdown Volleyball tournament! The High school and Grade school compete at cross country meets this weekend with the GS going to the Duquoin Pre-State meet and the HS heading North to Springfield for some great 1A and 2A competition! Go Trojans and Lady Trojans!

Bluford-Farrington Nation the hits just keep coming. This time our JH CC runners braved the scorching heat and our Varsity Boys finished first in the County Meet at the airport. Top 10 finishers on the day include Boys Varsity 1st place-Jacob Marlow, 2nd place -Benson Wright and 3rd place- Bryden Dalby and Lily Raines finished 3rd overall for the Girls Varsity. Great job Coach HP and kids. Bluford Nation is proud!

Guess what hoops nation, its basketball time once again. Now that Baseball, Softball, and Cross Country are winding down its time for the big round orange ball. JH Girls will have their tryouts Monday and Tuesday next week from 3:30-4:30 in the JH Gym. The boys will start with open gym/tryouts next week 3:15-5:15 in GS gym

GS boys (grades 5th-8th) basketball tryouts will be September 26th - September 30th from 3:10 - 5:00. Please contact Coach Marlow if you have questions. All participants must have a physical on file.
