OK Webber/Bluford Nation get your pens and paper out. This is how I spent my weekend on calls with other AD's discussing weather and game changes. Virtually ALL of our BB/SB games this week have been altered (No 4:30 games) here is a synopsis of it:
Tues.22-JH BB/SB HERE now 6:00 (not at Waltonville 4:30)
HS BB @ Odin start time now 5:30
Wed. 23- HS BB home vs South Central will start at 5:30
JH SB @Raccoon now starts at 5:30
Thurs.24 JH BB/SB vs Summersville @MV Cusamano Fields now starts at 6:00
Coaches have been instructed to utilize our new REMIND system to keep everyone informed of changes. Do not hesitate to call me (AD. Bob Hamerski) if you need more info.

The district was able to purchase 5 new Demco Makerspace Carts this summer with grant money. Each cart is unique and is filled with a variety of materials including art supplies, building materials, and electronic STEM related manipulatives. They are now assembled and ready to be enjoyed by classes.

With the increased heat values this week, please stay tuned to the schools Facebook account and the District app for information regarding game times being moved or postponements.
Our AD and administration will be working closely with area schools and our coaches to do what is best for the safety of our students.
Be sure to dress your students appropriately this week for the increased temperature and encourage them to stay hydrated with water rather than soda and other drinks.

Outdoor sports fans: Myself and several other AD's are concerned with the high temps expected next week. Many of our contests could have starting times pushed back or cancelled altogether. Stay tuned to this bat channel for information. Coaches have already been prepped on this and will be contacting their own team/parents as well if changes are made.
To that end Tues. HS BB at Odin has already been pushed back to a 5:00 start.
I have also contacted South Central about the possibility of moving our Wed. HS BB start time to 5:30. I will keep all posted as changes occur. Stay cool sports fans!

Just a reminder that tomorrow is school supply drop off from 4:30-6:30. Nurse Mary will also be in her office at that time for any parents who need to drop off student medication and fill out paperwork. We can't wait to see you!

Attention Families:
You should expect a call from a bus driver today confirming if your child will be riding the bus this year. Please assist us in preparing bus routes.
We are down to 4 bus routes to start the year, which means pick up and drop off times may vary from the previous year. It also may not be possible for us to have different pickup and drop off points.
We are doing everything we can to transport your children to and from school. Any families that are able to transport your children to and from school that do not need a bus, please consider doing so.
Please be patient with us as we work this out. We appreciate your understanding!
If interested in becoming a bus driver, please contact the office!
