FRIDAY NIGHT REGIONAL TITLE:
Everything is all set. AreaSports. net will travel to Altamont this Friday for the 1A Regional Championship Game between the Webber Trojans and the Altamont Indians. Both teams are State-Ranked. Special thanks to the WHS Booster Club for picking up the IHSA streaming fees on our behalf, so that we can provide Video Play-by-Play Coverage for fans who cannot make the trip to Altamont in person.
Game Time is 7:00pm. Altamont has a pretty cool older gym. We hope you can be there in person for this big game, but if not, Billy Rockett and myself will bring all the Live Video play-by-Play action into your Living Room and on to your mobile devices.

Should be a great game! Altamont is (21-8) and Webber is (29-3).
Altamont is Ranked #15 in the State, and Webber is Ranked #20.
In what I am sure will be a long line of changes for Friday now that our Boys are playing for a Regional Championship, the JH VB Summersville Tournament I had adjusted so we would play in the 4:00 game Friday, NOT the 6:00 game as had been scheduled. We want as many people to be able to the basketball game that would like to go.

ATTENTION PARENTS/GUARDIANS:
The plan is to send a fan bus to the Boys Regional Championship game to Altamont tomorrow night (Friday, February 23, 2024).
The fan bus is open for students 6-12 only. Permissions slips must be returned to the office by tomorrow morning by 9AM.
Students that ride the fan bus to the game MUST ride it home. No parent/guardian will be able to sign a student out.
Bus will leave at 5:00PM.
If we do not get enough permission slips returned in the morning by 9AM, the bus will be canceled. Students must bring $5 cash with the permission slip so we can assure they have admission fee. They will need to bring extra money for concessions.
Attention Parents:
We are surveying students 6-12 only, to see if there is enough interest in sending a fan bus to the boys regional tomorrow night at Altamont.
At this time, we are just getting numbers. If we have enough students, we will send more information out today.

Each year, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Special Education Department collaborates with Measurement Inc., an independent evaluation firm, to survey a sample of parents of children (ages 3-21 years old) with disabilities. The purpose of the survey is to determine how well schools throughout the state are involving parents of students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in their children’s education.
Parents of students, who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), in your district began receiving surveys in the mail January 10, 2024. Parents were requested to complete the survey either online or by mail by May 15, 2024.
Come out for breakfast this Saturday, February 24th.

Winner winner fried fish dinner! With the HS boys BB team first round regional victory tonight over Sandoval, our fellas have tied a school record with their 28th win of the season. They are tied with the 05 HOF team that went to the Supersectional in the old 2 class system. Come see our guts go for for record when they tangle with St. Elmo in the regional semifinals Wednesday night in Altamont at 7 30. (lot of prepositions in that satement. I really do know proper English mostly) Come cheer the boys on. You' ve been the best sixth man all year for us. GO TROJANS!!!
Rend Lake College students will not have school tomorrow, February 20th. Rend Lake has a teacher staff in-service.
All athletic practices are canceled for tomorrow.
The Freshman/Sophomore basketball tournament at Sandoval tomorrow has been postponed.
From Spring Garden:
The Middle School dance scheduled for tomorrow night at the elementary school is going to be postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.
All after school activities for today are canceled. No practices or games.
The kindergarten USA show will be held next Friday, February 23 at 1:00. It will be in the elementary gym.
