We have had a great first week in 5th grade! Students worked in teams to make the longest chain and tallest tower. We also made Friendship Fruit Salad together and learned more about Scientific Method through our Gobstopper experiment.
Ms. Fitzjerrells and Ms. Heinzman were awarded first year teacher grants by the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce. This special offering was made possible with the help of the United Way of South Central Illinois and GenFed Financial.

Reminder for Car Riders in the Afternoon:
Families should remain in their cars in the car rider line and our staff will have you pull forward and bring your student(s) to you. This keeps a organized system for safety of all students and our staff to have an orderly dismissal at the end of the day.
As a reminder, if your student is a car rider and not a bus, we ask that you contact the office prior to 2PM so we can get the message to the teachers. Thank you for your support!
Picture Day for the grade school and high school will be on August 21. All fall sports will also be taking pictures this day.

ALL JH BB/SB HOME GAMES will start at 5pm instead of 4:30.
HS Baseball with Odin this Fall had the sites reversed: Aug 27, will be AT ODIN 6:30, yes 6:30pm. AND Oct 3 will NOW be HERE 4;30. Girls HS BB now has a game at Galatia Jan. 22, 6:15. Stay tuned and stay buckled up. Its gonna be a long bumpy ride with changes. Will report as they occur.

Just a reminder that Rend Lake classes do not start until next week, so Rend Lake College students will be dismissed early this week.

The following JH BB/SB home game start times have been changed FROM 4:30 TO 5:00pm: Aug 14, Aug 27, Aug 29, Sept 5. The following JH Baseball game has been changed from a 4:30 to 5:00 start time: Aug 21. It is hoped the common game Sept 6 will also be changed to a 5:00 start but that has not been confirmed yet.
Our JH Baseball and Softball start times vs Jasper Aug. 14 has been changed from 4;30 to 5:00
Aug 19 there is boys JH Baseball vs OBR at MV Cusamano Fields only. No JH SB that day. OBR is in a co-op with St. Mary's this year.
A HUGE Webber Shoutout to our HS Booster Club and Mr. Gary Hamerski. Our Boosters paid our fees for the Coaches Golf team we sent to Carbondale July 26 to compete in the scholarships for kids golf scramble. Mr. Gary Hamerski was the sponsor for our team. On behalf of the Webber Athletic Department I truly thank these people for the money they gave to do this for us. It will benefit our seniors with some much needed scholarship money. THANK YOU!!!
To clarify: JH Baseball against Jasper is here on Aug 14. It WAS scheduled for the 13th but they have a school function that evening necessitating the change. Hope this helps.
