We are published authors!!
Ms. Heinzman's ELA classes had the opportunity to write and illustrate pages to create our own book!! Students could choose a profession to research and write about, and then create an illustration for it! Students can now say they are a real published author!! This was an amazing opportunity for students to be able to use their creativity to make amazing illustrations.

High School Girls Track and Field Results from Duquoin:
Your girls HS team headed to Duquoin last night to face some tough competition and had great results!
The 4x100 and 4x200 relay squads that both feature Jayden Taylor, Edyn Knight, Lydia Hulbert, and Kadi Bain placed 4th and 2nd overall in their respective relays! The 4x200 specifically had a huge PR to take 2nd out of the first heat, beating the next fastest team in their heat by over 5 seconds!
Kadi Bain continues to have great showings in the 200 and the long jump, taking 3rd in both. Her PR of 29.4 had her break 30 for the first time!
Lydia Hulbert and Jesa Wilson had great races in the 100 and 200, with Wilson getting a PR in the 100!
In the throws, Raelyn Cox of WC and Chloe King both threw well, with King throwing 77' and taking 12th in the discus. Cox threw a Pr in the shot and took 12th as well.
It was a great meet overall for the girls!

Congratulations Nathaniel Marlow on being selected to the AP 1A Boys Basketball 1st Team All-State!!!
