How cool is this?!? King City Books in Mt. Vernon has a program for students to review books prior to publication. We have several students who have signed up to be "professional" book reviewers! And we get to keep all of the books for our library!



The Science/Robotics Club had their first meeting of the year this afternoon. Thanks to the Jefferson County 4-H chapter for partnering with us for robotics kits!


Junior High baseball and softball games are cancelled for today, Tuesday, Sept. 3. The opposing teams did not have enough players to field a team.

7th graders are investigating bacterial growth. We may look at some of our favorite foods differently!



Fifth grade made plant and animal Jello cells to learn about each cell part. Students then illustrated each cell and described the function of each part.




Students explored various ways to use unit cubes to build rectangular prisms and express the volume.

School Mall packets are coming home today. Students who return completed packets by Monday, September 9th will receive a mystery backpack pet.

We accepted delivery of our new school bus this morning! This will be on Roy's route. We now have three newer buses and will continue to make progress to ensure we have the safest most reliable fleet.


Just a quick reminder that we have a 2:10 dismissal tomorrow (Friday, August 23) and we have an 11:30 dismissal next Friday (August 30). There is no school on Monday, September 2, in observance of Labor Day.
