Bluford Nation, the JH BB‐SB Regional sites have been announced. Woodlawn will be hosting the BB regional, while we are hosting the SB regional. I have set the dates for our regional Sept 19, 21, and 25. There will be 2 games on the 19th and 21st, with Championship set for 25th. Seedings are not out yet so we do not know what our game times are. I will post when that becomes known.

I do not know if this has EVER happened before but it is at least very rare. Our JH baseball and softball teams both won today at Wayne City with each pitcher throwing a no hitter in their respective games. You read that right. 2 no hitters we threw today. Maryn Sneed struck out 11 in her no hitter, while Owen Burke struck.out 21 in his gem. All I can say is WOW!

Results from Murphysboro: Full 5K Race Posted by Coach JP 31 schools were represented, with 18 teams on the boys side sporting full squads. A solid 8th place finish in a tough field for the boys, as well as PRs across the board for the boys and girls. 8th is the best the boys have ever finished at Murphysboro, and all the boys agreed they could have had better races. Nothing better than a good result and room to improve. Both girls had major PRs at the course. The next meet will be next Thursday at West Frankfort. I've been Athletic Director here for (seems like 13 years) a while now. I have supervised MANY events. If last nights HS VB game wasn't thee best event I have seen, it is certainly in the top 5.. Our gals played their hearts out, could have given up numerous times, was 1 point away from defeat on several occasions, yet managed to gut out a very intense, hard fought conference win beating rival Wayne City 2 games to 1. I applaud our VB gals and coaching staff for an impressive effort last night. Second, I have to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of our student section. It was Barbie Night (which made me a little nervous to start with), and they cheered their guts out for our gals. VERY appropriately I might add. They were well behaved and really, really supporting our gals. That's exactly what I envisioned that area being when I created it long ago. I give the students an assist in that one. Good job group! All things considered, the intense game, the emotions, the crowd, the students, the outcome, I was very proud to be a Trojan. Great job all.
