Our Greenhouse structure is now complete! We will be adding electrical and HVAC soon so it will be ready for student use!
We owe our appreciation to Mrs. Schumm, Mr. Dunnaway, and our vocational students that all had a part in this project!
Don't forget that tomorrow, Friday, January 12th, students are dismissed at 11:30am.
For clarity sake the boys JH regional is at EWING. One team in it, Spring Garden, could not play on Monday which is what caused the change. Hope that helps clear up a few things.
Bluford Nation, we have a program change. The Boys JH Basketball Regional at Spring Garden now has new dates for us. We play Wednesday Jan. 24 at 7:30 and Friday Jan. 26 at 6:00. Mark your calendars as we go for the 3peat.
Our Girls JH Basketball season came to an end last night in the Allendale Regional. No one wants to see their season end but this team has a lot to be proud of. They finished the year 16-9, played very well in the regular season tournaments they were in , and were seed 4th in a very tough regional. That's quite a season to be proud of. They also saw Edyn Knight score the 1000th point of her JH career. I;d say this year was a success and we look forward to this group in HS.
Put this in the overlooked column. This is long overdue but I want to express how much I appreciate our Booster Clubs and all they do for the schools Athletic Department and me inparticular. I did a staff appreciation last night for all BLUFORD CUSD 318 staff. They deserved it. I had a coupon for all staff in attendance to receive a free bag of popcorn and a pop on the Athletic Department. When I went to settle the tab I was told by booster president not to worry about it, they were thankful I did that and THEY would get the tab. I appreciate that! Throughout the year they are always supplying our staff with goodies, luncheons, things for the classroom and also meet our Athletic needs. They do not receive much help either. Its a lot of the same people over and over again. Talk about a group that deserves an appreciation night. I'm just the A.D. but on behalf of the staff and athletic department here we appreciate you greatly and are very thankfull of all you do. You are special to us.

Webber Nation our HS Boys basketballers have garnered the 2 seed at the MTC Tourney next week. As such, we will host a first round game Tuesday January 16, 7:00 vs Wayne City. ( ironic isn't it, Wayne City hosts the tourney this year yet we host them first round. Maybe its just my sense of humor. Oh, well guess you had to be there) OK, moving on. Our next game, should we win , would be Thursday vs more than likely Grayville 7:30 at Wayne City. Should we win that we would play in the championship game Saturday 6:00 at Wayne City. All bets are off however should we falter in either of our previous games which would set up a whole different scenario. Lets hope for the best. GO TROJANS!!!

I just saw that our HS BOYS BBteam at 12-1 is ranked number 19 in class 1a basketball. Our next game is Friday at number 14 state ranked Waltonville.
What a clash that should be. Let's see how much blue we can pack into Waltonville gym.
On the pee wee game schedule, where it says at Casey, those games
are actually at JL BUFORD SCHOOL in Mt. Vernon.
