This coming Thursday, February 15th, at 5:00 pm, a representative from Rend Lake College will be available to meet with parents of senior students. The purpose of this meeting is for parents to get help in filling out the parent portion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aide (FAFSA). The FAFSA is a graduation requirement. Please plan to attend this meeting if you need help with the FAFSA.

First, our boys hs bb team beat Grayville 93-76 for win number 26 closing in on our all time mark of 28. Second, sophomore sensation Nathaniel Marlow put up 49 tonight, 2 off our all time mark of 51 held by Gerald Shields, including a new school record 9 three pointers. The 9 treys broke the record of 8 held by Ethan Gowler. Big Webber Shout Out to Nathaniel and the boys. Great night!
Hot off the IHSA presses Webber Nation, we will be hosting Sandoval Monday Feb 19, 7:00 as part of the Altamont Boys HS 1A Boys BB Regional.

Mrs. Hails class learned about American symbols this week. They made themselves in Statue of Liberty's today.
Our Junior High (6th, 7th, and 8th grades) helped us out with our February bulletin board by writing an act of kindness on each heart.
The Lady Trojans get the W on senior night, beating Galatia 39-21. Laney Hails led the way for Webber with 15, followed by Chloe King with 11, and Senior Shayla Brumley with 8.

Kindergarten Registration/Screenings will be held Thursday, March 14th from 2:30-7:00 pm. Please call Bluford Grade School @ 618-732-8242 to schedule your appointment.
Registration packets can be picked up in the Grade School office at anytime before registration/screenings. Packets will need to be filled out before the end of your screening on the 14th.

This Saturday Feb. 10, Waltonville has requested a game time change that we agreed to honor. Our 4th grade will play the 10:00 game, followed by the 3rd grade game at 11:00.

I just wanted to let all know that Areasports.net will be live streaming some Class S Boys games Monday #1 Central City vs STB-Tamaroa Co-op / #3 OLMC-Herrin vs Bartelso / #4 Bluford-Farrington Co-op vs SPPS-Waterloo. Games can be viewed live and will have commentators.
On the morning of February 8th and February 9th, Crush Soda Sales will happen in both cafeterias (Gs and Hs). Students who wish to participate may buy soda for themselves and/or for their Valentine's Day crushes. Each soda will be $1 and will be distributed on Valentine's Day to their designated classrooms. Again, on Thursday, February 8th and Friday, February 9th sodas will be sold for $1 each in the cafeteria.
Several items to get into here; First and foremost with our JH Boys Basketball tremendous success it has necessitated several changes or alterations along the way, all well worth it. First, the basketball players and cheerleaders are not expected to attend tonight bowling match. Second Tonight's JH VB at OBR will start at 5:15 with the varsity match FIRST, followed by the JV match which will have a time limit of 6:30.
This will allow all our coaches and fans to make it to RLC. and finally, the boys and girls HS games will take place at their original times and places. Girls here vs Brownstown and Boys at Z.R. respectively. There's a ton going on in Webber/Bluford Nation right now folks and we couldn't be more proud of it.
