
The boys’ Junior High home basketball game this evening has been postponed. Makeup game TBA.


RLC students will not need to report to the school tomorrow because the Rend Lake College campus is closed Tuesday, Nov. 12, due to inclement weather.


Due to hazardous rural road conditions, Bluford schools are canceled for Tuesday, November 12.

The Jr. High girls’ basketball game against Spring Garden, originally-scheduled for tonight, has been been cancelled.


Congrats to Seth Hamerski who ran at the state cross country meet! As a sophomore, he placed 61 out of 209 with a 5:19 per mile pace. The state champ broke the state record, running 14:30, which is a 4:50 per mile pace.

The Vetetan tributes were hung on the walls with care in hopes that our heroes soon would be there. Our Veterans Day Programs is at 1:30 this afternoon in the jr high gymnasium.





What a great day for our hs jrs. Jefferson County Manufacturing Day brought awareness to the variety of careers available in the area. Thank you to Magnum Steel, Truck Center, Continental, and Outland Airport for hosting.





The third grade was battling with some tug of war. The girls took two of three!



Join us Friday at 1:30 for the Veterans Day Assembly! The kids have been working hard and will recite various original writings as well as vocal and instrumental performances.


Two fifth graders have turned in their biome project. We are eager to see the others.



The science club was busy today putting the finishing touches on their trebuchets.

Six Flags Read to Succeed is for students in grades K-6. Students who read at least 6 hours can earn a free ticket to Six Flags. Parents can log their child’s hours at sixflags.com/books from Nov. - Feb. Use school code: SJRU9 and select your child’s teacher from the list to register your child. Tickets for students who participate in the program will be available next May.
