Congratulations to our five Trojan Cross Country athletes who advanced to the IHSA Class 1A Sectional at Trenton (Wesclin)! Brennan Tate (27th), Gavin Hardy (53rd), Magic James (62nd), Conner Withrow (29th), and Bryden Dalby (19th) led the way as the boys’ team finished 6th out of 7 teams to secure their advancement. Congratulations to these gentlemen and the entire Cross Country program on a fantastic season! #Trojans

One of our buses got a safety upgrade! An extended LED stop arm to hopefully prevent future stop arm violations.

The fourth annual Beta Trunk or Treat will be this Friday (Oct 24) from 5:30-7pm in the high school parking lot, weather permitting. If there is bad weather, we will move the event to the grade school cafeteria and gymnasium. We are still welcoming trunks, so if you are interested in hosting a trunk, please email mminor@blufordschools.org. We can't wait to see everyone on Friday!
🔬 8th Grade Science Spotlight!
Our 8th graders have been busy analyzing, experimenting, and engineering as they dive deeper into Newton’s Laws of Motion and Gravity.
Students worked collaboratively to design and construct scientific tools and models that demonstrate principles of balance, motion, and momentum. From pendulums to catapults and rolling vehicles, each project challenged them to apply critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity while connecting real-world physics concepts to hands-on experimentation.
We are so proud of their curiosity, teamwork, and innovative designs! 👏

Robotics Club for 5th-8th graders will meet Tuesday and Wednesday this week from 5-6:30.
A big thank you to Webber Township Fire Dept.for coming to assist with our fire drill today! They also gave us information on fire safety and let us look at the fire and rescue trucks.
Senior students, Audrey Frey and Gavin Hardy attended and served on Senator Bryant's Youth Advisory Council on October 9th at Rend Lake College. At this event, teams created and debated their own bills that will then go on to be discussed in Springfield, Illinois.
2nd Grade made Tipi's since they are learning about the Native American Indians! They learned that tipi's were made of bison hides and the women would decorate the outside to show who lived inside.
This evening our Varsity girls ran regionals at Foundation Park in Centralia against 15 schools. We have 2 girls advancing to State. Hailey Popplewell placed 4th individually and Zayla Withrow placed 5th individually in today's Regional. They will run Oct. 18th at DuQuoin.
