Inside the Appellate Courthouse Courtroom ... The judges' bench, columns, light fixtures (which were converted from gas to electric), and other architectural details are original to the courtroom.




Walking with Lincoln ... Mr. Kenniker, the 8th Grade Class, and I visited The Appellate Courthouse in Mt. Vernon where, in 1859, President Lincoln successfully argued a case for the Illinois Central Railroad.
