Below are highlights from the August 20, 2026 Board Meeting:
Public Comment was heard from Karen Shafer on beginning of school day procedures.
1. Approved of the Consent Agenda.
2. Superintendent's Report included information about the start of the school year, enrollment, and the upcoming Village Centennial celebration.
3. Principal's and Maintenance Reports were discussed.
4. Informational - FOIA requests were discussed.
6. Approved the final reading of Board Policy Updates, from June 2026 Press Plus Issue 122, as presented.
7. Approved the FY2027 Tentative Budget for display.
8. Approved the Integrated Pest Management Plan.
9. Approved the Intergovernmental Agreement between BUSD #318 and Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.
The Board discussed 2:10PM dismissals in regards to athletic practices and games.
Following Executive Session, the Board approved the following:
Accepted the resignation of Cynthia Hudspath (JH SPED Teacher) effective July 29, 2026
Employed Marcia McClanahan as a Full Time Bus Driver
Approved Wayne Stone (Senior Sponsor) and Doug Wright (Volunteer Cross Country Assistant Coach - Grade School)
