Below are highlights from the July 16, 2026 Board Meeting:
1. Approved of the Consent Agenda.
2. Superintendent's Report included information on Tax Extensions for Tax Year 2025. The Boards commitment to the levy process has significantly reduced the overall tax rate for each of the taxing bodies consistently since 2021. Being in a tax capped county, "PTELL," the process to capture new growth in the district is essential. Since 2021, overall rates have decreased to the following: GS Taxing Body (3.109 to 2.532), HS Taxing Body (2.123 to 1.351), and Unit Taxing Body (4.574 to 3.492)
3. Principal's and Maintenance Reports were discussed.
4. Informational - FOIA requests were discussed.
5. Approved the final reading of the 2026-2027 Student/Parent Handbook, as presented.
6. Approved the first reading of Board Policy Updates, from June 2026 Press Plus Issue 122, as presented.
7. Approved the Special Education Procedures Assuring the Implementation of Comprehensive Programming for Children with Disabilities, as presented.
8. Approved the updated Job Descriptions BUSD 318 Employees, as presented.
9. Approved revisions to the District E-Learning Plan, as presented.
