The Bluford Board of Education held its Regular February Board Meeting on February 19 at 6:00pm. Below are highlights/actions from the meeting:
Public comment was made by Ashley Snow regarding prioritizing academics over athletics
Approved the Consent Agenda
Superintendent's report included recognition of Nathaniel Marlow for scoring 3,000 career points and a thank you to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Dept. for leading ALICE Training.
Approved the amended operating agreement with Franklin-Jefferson SPED Coop
Approved the 2026-2027 School Calendar
Approved the 2026-2027 HS Course Description Booklet
Approved to seek bids for the replacement of the Elementary Gym Roof.
In Personnel, the following were approved:
Accepted the resignation of Chad Shreves as GS and HS Bowling Coach and as HS Fall and Spring Asst. Baseball Coach
Hired Brent Sledge as a Bus Driver
Hired Josh Andrews as GS Bowling Coach for the 2026 season
Hired Noah Richardson as a HS Spring Asst. Baseball Coach
Approved Hunter Bigham as a HS Spring Volunteer Asst. Baseball Coach
