Elementary Gym Roof Replacement - Invitation for Bids
The Bluford Unit School District No. 318 in Bluford, Illinois will receive sealed bids for the Elementary School Gym Roof Replacement located at 901 6th St., Bluford, IL 62814. Bids shall be submitted in a single lump sum proposal.
Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., prevailing time on the 17th of March 2026, at the Bluford Unit School District No. 318, 901 6th St., Bluford, IL 62814 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on the 3rd day of March 2026, at: 2:00 p.m., prevailing time at the Bluford Unit School District No. 318, 901 6th St., Bluford, IL 62814. Bidders are advised that this will be the only time that access to the school will be made available.

Copies of the documents may be obtained at the office of the Architect, by depositing a check with the Architect in the amount of $75.00 for each set of documents so obtained made payable to the Bluford Unit School District No. 318 in Bluford, Illinois. Such deposit will be refunded to each bidder who returns the plans, specifications and other documents in good condition to the Architect within ten (10) days after bid opening. Partial sets may be purchased at the cost of photocopying and shipping cost upon completion of a request for partial plans/specifications form and submitting to the Architect. Documents may also be downloaded from the Architect's website for bidding purposes only.
In accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, all bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The surety company must be authorized to do business in the state where the project is located and must be acceptable to the School District. If the bid guarantee is not submitted with the bid, the District will reject the bid.
Proposals shall be made on unaltered bid forms which are incorporated herein. All blank spaces shall be completed. Proposals shall be signed with name typed below signature. When bidder is a corporation, proposals must be signed with the legal name of the corporation followed by the name of the state of incorporation and the legal signature of an officer authorized to bind the corporation to a contract.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds acceptable to the District all in accordance with of the Instructions to Bidders.
Bidders shall carefully examine the documents and construction site to obtain firsthand knowledge of the existing condition. Contractors will not be given extra payments for conditions which can be determined by examining the site and documents.
The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty days (60) subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the District.
