Mike Bost, our congressional representative, recently visited our school. Senior Myranda Stoeber did an outstanding job showcasing the school's technical department. She explained how students learn welding and clarified the differences between various welding techniques. Congressman Bost was impressed with the remarkable work our school is doing!

The Computer Concepts students recently learned how to properly format business letters. Each student mailed a letter to a business or organization. Kaden received a response from his company of choice which included a letter and coupons to their store. Great work, Kaden! Thank you to Dunham's of Mt. Vernon!

A Special St. Nicholas Day Celebration for Tereza! St. Nicholas Day, known as "Mikuláš" in Slovak, is celebrated on December 6th. It is a day when children eagerly await the arrival of St. Nicholas. To help her feel a little closer to home, our school came together to create a magical St. Nicholas Day celebration for our incredible foreign exchange student, Tereza who is from Slovakia. After lunch, students were greeted in the hall by a beautifully decorated Christmas tree adorned with stockings—each one personalized with a student's name! Inside these stockings were sweet treats, reminiscent of the heartwarming traditions in Slovakia. As they made their way to the gym, sweet surprises awaited them—delicious cookies and cupcakes! It was a joyous celebration of friendship, cultural exchange, and the holiday spirit. A huge shoutout to all the teachers who organized this festive event!
