A representative from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will meet with seniors on October 21 to discuss the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). She will also be available to meet with parents during Parent-Teacher Conferences on the evening of October 23, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 14, for Columbus Day. Also, Rend Lake students will not have school on October 14 or October 15.
Vet Science students are finishing up the Dog/Canine Unit with the annual dog show! Can you recognize any of the breeds? They then made dog treats to take back to their pets at home! 🐕🐩🐾
Section 21 FFA Officers and a Major State Officer visited our school today to teach students about having a mission and setting goals in life. 🌄 Shoutout to Clayton Drew, a Bluford FFA member, for being one of those officers visiting 16 high schools in our section this week during chapter visits!

The 1pm History class for Rend Lake College students has been canceled today. They should still attend their 12:00 class.
The Senior Rend Lake class for today was canceled. Those students will be dismissed at 10:54am today.
Tomorrow is Picture Day! All students will have their pictures taken, including those in fall sports. Please bring your sports uniforms with you. This year, no order forms will be sent home. Instead, all students will receive a form with a QR code for ordering in approximately 2-3 weeks.
There is a high school volleyball parents meeting Thursday at 5:30pm in the High School gym. At least one parent needs to be present.

Just a reminder that Rend Lake classes do not start until next week, so Rend Lake College students will be dismissed early this week.

Attention Junior and Senior Students Planning to Attend Rend Lake College:
We will be taking a bus to Rend Lake College on Thursday, August 8th for registration. Please be at the high school by 9:00 AM. We will return around noon. If you cannot attend, please contact Mr. Herzing or call the school office.
