Third through fifth grade grandparents day is Friday, February 14!

Second grade learned about pine cones and made predictions about how they would react when placed in water that was different temperatures. They are great scientists!

Congratulations to the third/fourth grade Team Quest participants, who placed second today! There were around 40 teams from throughout southern Illinois.

Sports pictures for winter sports are scheduled for Friday, February 7. These will include basketball and cheerleading for Pee Wee, Jr High, and High School. Jr High volleyball will also be photographed along with clubs.

How about this program!?!? For anyone with a bachelor's degree, this may be an avenue for you to obtain a teaching license! Check out the details on the flier.

Third graders are scanning QR codes and learning new compound words.

The after school program is up and running every day! However, we have not had the response we had intended. In order for it to be successful, we need more kids involved. If you are interested, please contact the school for registration.


Reminder:
Tomorrow is grandparents day for grade K-2!

With our 11:30 dismissal tomorrow, we are trying something new. We will serve a sack lunch to all K-8 students to eat in the classroom at approximately 11:10. All high school students will have the option to sign up for one to grab on their way out at 11:30.
With grandparents day tomorrow, second grade will be sent home with them as well.

Jr High boys’ basketball is taking on Bethel this evening. JV action starts at 6:00. Only one more opportunity to watch these boys in action at home. 8th grade night will be January 23.

Bluford Trojans are bringing home the 1st place trophy from the Spring Garden Tournament. Congratulations!

Congratulations to the December students of the month!



6th graders were able to investigate cold and warm zones with a thermal imaging camera. They have been learning about different types of insulation and windows that can be eco-efficient!




Eighth grade students are participating in a New Year's escape room while practicing their active listening and team building skills.
