Good Morning! This afternoon is our first home track meet. Car riders will need to come in on Price St/6th street into the school and circle around and park by the bus barn/fuel tank to start loading for dismissal. The parking lot will be blocked off by Chestnut where parents normally start pulling up. Please be patient with us during this transition.

The preliminary results of the Elks Americanism Essay contest are in. The Bluford results are outstanding. We have four essays that have made it to the state level!

Wednesday and Thursday will be 2:00PM dismissals. Parent-teacher conferences will be from 3:00PM to 7:00PM. Mr. Weathers will have student art work on display and Ms. Christina will have an area set up with parent resources.

The 5Essentials Parent Survey is still available! We need to reach 50% participation (or more) for each of our schools. This data is helpful to improve our schools! Please visit http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/ to take the parent survey. If you have a student in both buildings, you can take it for both, just select the correct school each time.

Our jr. high scholar bowl went to regionals today. We played 4 matches and won 3, losing only to Casey. I am very proud of all of them. We will return tomorrow for day 2!

Happy Social Workers Week to our own Ms. Christina ! She supports our students by offering guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear whenever needed. Her kindness, patience, and commitment make a difference in the lives of so many of our students.
Thank you, Ms. Christina, for everything you do to help our students and families. We appreciate you today and every day!
