This week in Science class, students completed a hands-on lab exploring how a chemical reaction can change a solid + a liquid into a gas. Using baking soda (solid) and vinegar (liquid), students observed carbon dioxide gas form and captured it in balloons.We were able to observe the gas forming by the inflation of balloons. The activity reinforced lab safety, careful measurement, and how to record observations and conclusions.You can see in the pictures how students absolutely loved it , they were laughing,smiling, and having a blast!
