Board of Education Meeting

September 21, 2009

      Board President Don Sneed called the regular Board of Education Meeting to order.  Upon roll call the following members were present:  John Maurer, Jim Wray, Larry Manning, Travis Cameron, and Carol Rudofski.  Superintendent Scott Porter and Kim McCormick were present.  Visitors were Terri Helm, Willie and Katie Duel, Kathy and Matt Jackson and family.  
 

Motion: Maurer-“to approve September 21, 2009. minutes.”

Second: Manning

Action: Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.  
 

Motion: Rudofski-“to approve Treasurer’s Report.”

Second: Wray

Action: Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.  
 

Motion: Manning-“to approve September bills and payroll.”

Second: Maurer

Action: Roll Call Vote:  Yeas: Rudofski, Cameron, Manning, Wray, Maurer, and Sneed.  Nay:  None.  MOTION CARRIED.  
 

Kathy Jackson addressed the board in permission to have a food drive sponsored by BGS band and to donate to 2^nd Baptist Church.  The band will also apply for a grant from Prudential Ins.

Thank you card from First Baptist Church was read.  
 

Budget Hearing was held. 
 

Motion: Rudofski-“to approve 2009-10 budget.”

Motion: Manning-“to approve building use for the Bluford Church of God on September 26, 2009, pending certificate of insurance.”
