We reviewed adjectives and then made ourselves into scarecrows.   
We also made a list of adjectives to describe ourselves.

Silly Similes

We learned about similes and then made poems about fall using as many similes as possible.

Fall
I can smell the fire like a burning pie.!
I can see squirrels racing across the yard like
deer running across the woods.
I can taste candy corn as sweet as milky ways.
The sound of the leaves falling are as loud as kids munching hard candy.

 

Fall

The trick or treaters at my house are as loud as loud as crows crowing.
The scary black cat is as a jaguar.
I can smell the turkey baking it smells as good as my mom’s brownies.
I  fell the fall breeze blowing in my hair as fast as Lincoln moved to Illinois.
I hear fall leaves as fast as you say please.
I love pumpkin pie like I love my teacher Mrs. Putt.

The ghost says BOO as loud as a horn.
The jack ~o~ lanterns are as bright as head lights.
The thanksgiving dinner smell’s as good as a candle.
The delicious pumpkin pie is as squishy as brownie dough.
The go wee lemon cookies are as sweet as candy corn.

 

FALL IS HERE
The flag is waving like my hair in the wind.
I can see lots of pine cones falling down like leaves do.
I can hear gun shots as loud as construction work.
I can taste hot chocolate as tasty as smores.
I can smell hot apple pie as strong as fried turkey.

The snapping turtle hisses as loud as a black cat.
The skunk is as stinky as smoke
I see a worm as slow as a slug.
The pumpkin is as slimy as a snail.
Pumpkin pie is as sweet as sugar.

The horn is as loud   as a truck delivering pumpkins.
The deer run as fast as cheetahs.
I  can  taste  pumpkin  pie  as  sweet  as  Apple  pie.
I feel the leaves  tickling  my  hand  like  my  cat rubbing  a against  me.
I can smell the fire during like the candles in my house.

 

FALL
I can see the deer streaking across planes as fast as a peregrine falcon.
The thanks giving food is good as crab legs.
When I go out side in the morning I can feel the dew on my face it is good as watching TV.  My dog barks at the mocking bird it is annoying as the bird it self.
My Jack-o-lantern smells as good as freshly baked Pumpkin pie.

I tasted a pumpkin pie as sweet as apple crisp.
I touched some leaves they felt like lumpy pumpkin.
I can see some people putting stuffing in a turkey.
I can smell some chicken burning like leaves burning in the sun light.
I hear the leaves falling from the trees like noisy kids screaming.

The leaves blow like the wind.
The pumpkin pie smells like baked apples.
The leaves crackle in the fire like rain drops falling.
The mash potatoes are as fluffy as cloud.
The leaves fall as the rain when it pours.

The leaves look as colorful as a peacock.

My mom’s fresh apple pie smells as good as pumpkin seeds in the oven.
Candy corn is as sweet as apple pie.
Leaves are as tickly as my sister when we have tickle fight.
You see Jack-o-lanterns in the Fall as much as you see leaves.

I can hear the Raven crowing as loud as a gun shot.
The leaves are as green as a tree and as hard as a stick.
I can feel the cool air blowing threw my hair like water splashing on my face.
I can smell the pumpkin pie, it is sweet as sugar.
I can taste pumpkin pie it is as tasty as water melon.

I can taste the pumpkin pie as sweet as candy corn.
I can small the ripe apples as sour as lemons.
I can hear my uncle Tarry shooting his gun it is loud as sirens going off at school.
I see the table it is as big as my dog.
I touch the turkey it is as slick as butter.

Fall Is Hear!
I love to feel the leaves tickling my hands like a feather.
The burning leaves smell like spicy spicy hot pepper.
I can hear the burning leaves hissing like a snake.
Burnt leaves look like the crust from the pie that was in the oven too long.
Pumpkin pie tastes as sweet as candy.
