                   Board of Education Meeting

October 17, 2006 7:00 p.m.

          Board President Don Sneed called the regular Board of Education meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Upon roll call the following members were present:  Brad Austin, Terry Krutsinger, Larry Manning, John Maurer, Carol Rudofski, and Jim Wray.  Superintendent Scott Porter and Kim McCormick were present.  Visitors were Marci Sherwin, John Stanford and Diana Stanford. 

Motion:      Austin-“to approve September 18, 2006 minutes.”

Second:      Krutsinger

Action:        Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.

Motion:      Rudofski-“to approve Treasurer’s Report.”

Second:      Manning

Action:        Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.

Motion:      Manning-“to approve October bills and payroll.”

Second:      Maurer

Action:        Roll Call Vote:  Yeas:  Austin, Krutsinger, Rudofski, Manning, Maurer, Wray, and Sneed.  Nay:  None.  MOTION CARRIED.

Diana Stanford presented the board with updates on grants, E-Rates and automation of the library.  

Motion:      Manning-“to allow First Baptist Church use of a school bus for one night with proof of insurance liability.”

Second:      Austin

Action:        Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.

Motion:      Austin-“go to executive at 7:50 p.m.”

Second:      Krutsinger

Action:        Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.

Motion:      Manning-“to come out of executive at 8:15 p.m. “

Second:      Austin

Action:        Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.

Motion:      Austin-“to approve purchase of volleyball equipment.”

Second:      Rudofski

Action:        Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.
