Board President Don Sneed called the regular Board of Education Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Upon roll call the following members were present: John Maurer, Jim Wray, Terry Krutsinger, Brad Austin, and Carol Rudofski. Superintendent Scott Porter and Kim McCormick were present.
Motion: Maurer-“to approve July 17, 2006 minutes. “

Motion: Rudofski –“to approve Treasurer’s Report. “
Second: Maurer
Action: Voice Vote All Yeas: MOTION CARRIED.
Motion: Rudofski-“to approve August bills and payroll.”
Second: Wray
Action: Roll Call Vote: Yeas: Maurer, Wray, Krutsinger, Austin, Rudofski, and Sneed. Nay: None. MOTION CARRIED.
Motion: Austin-“to employ Andrea Frey as a special education teacher for the 2006-07 year.”

Motion: Rudofski-“to re-employ Linda Breeze as a special education aide for the 2006-07 year and to hire addition staff when needed.”

The Board read correspondence from Doug Tucker. Updates on Health/Life Safety, PTO playground equipment, ISAT scores
Opening day information were all presented and discussed. A tentative budget for 2006-7 was presented and will be adopted in September.
Motion: Krutsinger-“to accept the bid from Midwest/Sovereign Bank of 5.0% to purchase bus.”
