Our Kindergarten U.S.A. Show

We had our U.S.A. show on February 26th. Wow!!! We practiced so hard and all of our practice sure paid off! We were FANTASTIC!!! We sang Patriotic songs about many famous people and symbols in our Country's History. We each had a line to say in the play, some of us had full costumes, and all of us were able to wear hats and necklaces! We even got the newspaper to come out and take pictures of us at our play! We want to thank EVERYONE for coming to our show!! We will be signing autographs soon..ha ha ha! We made many U.S.A. art projects to decorate for our play. We made George Washington faces, 3 Cornered Hats, Barack Obama Art, Uncle Sam Hats, Lincoln's Log Cabin out of pretzels, tissue paper flags, tissue paper bald eagles, edible flags, Abe Lincoln Pictures, Washington and Lincoln Torn Paper Art, a tissue paper Statue of Liberty, and a USA fact book. We held a Kindergarten Presidential Election in our classroom as well. Each student was to make a campaign poster at home with their parents. We hung them up in the gym and each student told why he or she wanted to be president. Caitlyn brought "Vote for Caitlyn!" smartie candies and Ben brought "Vote for Ben the Busy Bumble Bee" stickers for us to wear. We voted for president on ballots and then stuck them inside the ballot box. We tallied the votes and Drake was announced our Kindergarten President. Ben, Lucy, Kylin, Caitlyn, Andrew, Bethany, Catrina, Emma, Jacob, Avah, Ben, Allaina, and Jessica were announced as Kindergarten Vice Presidents. We had a fun time learning about the U.S.A.!  Click on a picture to make it better!
