A Visit From A Leprechaun

For St. Patrick's day, we made leprechaun traps at home. We know leprechauns can be sneaky and tricky so we had to make our traps extra good! We each had something to lure the leprechaun to our trap such as gold, gold coins, lucky charms, money, rainbows, etc. Ms. Gieselman could not believe how creative we were when we brought our leprechaun traps to school! We set the traps up in our classroom right before we left for P.E. When we returned, we found out that the leprechaun had left us a note on our door. We had to look for him in the library, the office, the playground, and the cafeteria. We came back to our room and found out that the leprechaun had left our room in quite a mess! He tipped over our chairs, left footprints on our window, left his shoes and fingerprints behind, spilled green glitter all over our floor, and even turned the toilet water green! That tricky leprechaun! We didn't catch him, but he left us each a pot of gold, a note, and a chocolate candy. He also left us a very special surprise in the refrigerator...leprechaun jell-o. Some of us liked it and some of us didn't, but we all agreed it was nice of the leprechaun to leave us a treat! Take a look at all of our pictures! We also graphed lucky charms and made some cool St. Patrick's Day art! We made shamrock paintings by dipping cut green peppers into green paint, made fruit loop rainbows, sponge painted shamrocks, and tissue paper rainbows. We also made St. Patrick's Day hats.
