This week was National Fire Safety & Prevention Week. We learned about the
dangers of fire and how to stay safe around fire. We know that we should
NEVER play with matches and if our clothes or bodies catch fire, we
should STOP, DROP, and ROLL! We read many books about fire and
firefighters, made edible fire trucks, made a stop-drop-and roll
headband, practiced stop-drop-and roll, did firefighter math, and made a
Fire Safety book. We learned how to stay safe this week! Take a look
below at our Edible Fire trucks. They were yummy and we had a great time
making them! The Bluford Fire Department also visited our school. We got
to see and talk to real firemen in their uniforms, see the fire truck,
and learn about the fire truck and the job of a fireman. Our favorite
part was when the firemen turned on the truck's siren! We had a great
time! A special thank you to the firemen for visiting our school!
