During our apple
unit, we sponge painted an apple tree. Then, we used finger paint to
make the red apples on our trees. We also had an "Apple Tasting Party"
where we tasted different products made from apples. We tasted apple
pie, apple juice, apple sauce, and dried apple chips. Apple juice won as
the class favorite when we graphed the results. We also completed "Apple
Science" to see which objects are heavier and lighter than an apple.
Alex won our Golden Apple Hunt. Congratulations! She found the golden
apple hidden in our classroom and received a real apple to take home to
eat as her prize. We even made "Apple Smiles!" We used 2 red apple
slices for the lips and covered them with peanut butter. We then stuck
marshmallows on top of the peanut butter to use as teeth. Check out our
