Board Meeting

February 22, 2011 

            Board President Don Sneed called the regular Board of Education meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Upon roll call the following were present:  John Maurer, Jim Wray, Larry Manning, Travis Cameron, and Brad Austin.  Superintendent Scott Porter and Kim McCormick were present.  Visitors were Mario Hodge. 

Motion:         Austin-“to approve the January 18, 2011 minutes.”

Second:         Cameron

Action:           Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.

Motion:         Austin-“to approve Treasurer’s Report.”

Second:         Manning

Action:           Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.

Motion:         Manning-“to approve February bills and payroll.”

Second:         Maurer

Action:           Roll Call Vote:  Yeas:  Maurer, Wray, Manning, Cameron, Austin, and Sneed.  MOTION CARRIED.

Motion:         Manning-“to set Graduation date of May 19 2011 at 7:00 p.m.”

Second:         Maurer

Action:           Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.

Motion:         Austin-“to approve the 2011-2012 school calendar as presented.”

Second:         Maurer

Action:           Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.

Motion:         Manning-“to approve the first reading of policy updates.”

Second:         Maurer

Action:           Voice Vote:  All Yeas:  MOTION CARRIED.
